The new Enhanced VQ AVC mode can be used in combination with Quality-Defined Variable Bitrate (QVBR) rate control to achieve better results for high-motion and highly complex scenes, with additional filters designed to reduce noisy artifacts and lower overall bitrate.
A new HDR to SDR color space conversion feature is also available when Enhanced VQ AVC mode is selected. If your content is recorded with high dynamic range (HDR) and you need to deliver outputs in standard dynamic range (SDR), simply select the desired SDR color space you want. (For standard definition resolutions, select Rec. 601; for high definition resolutions, select Rec. 709.)
